Stout was retained by the plaintiff's counsel to determine the amount of damages caused by defendant’s misappropriation of trade secrets and its violation of the Virginia Computer Crimes Act, among other causes of action. Stout prepared a damages opinion based on our expertise in accounting, financial and damages analysis, independent third party research of publically-available information, and a review of various documents and pleadings produced by both parties. Stout performed a lost profits analysis measuring historical and future losses directly resulting from the defendant’s actions, which had led to the loss of numerous federal contracts.
