Stout assisted a specialty silicon chemical manufacturer prepare and submit monthly business interruption insurance claims after an explosion at its manufacturing plant destroyed production. We assisted the company with implementing procedures to track lost sales and cost savings and setting up accounts to track extra expenses. We reviewed the monthly financials and invoices related to extra expenses incurred to determine the estimated lost profits resulting from the explosion, and submitted the business interruption claim on a monthly basis. We also implemented certain procedures and assisted the company in taking over the business interruption claim template so that it could prepare and submit the claim on a monthly basis on its own, resulting in cost savings to the client.
