Scott Safriet a plus de 25 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la santé, dont près de 20 ans consacrés exclusivement à l’évaluation des soins de santé, principalement en ce qui concerne tout type d’accord ou d’arrangement de rémunération pouvant avoir des implications Stark et/ou Anti-Kickback.
Avant de rejoindre Stout, Scott était associé chez HealthCare Appraisers, Inc. Avant cela, il a occupé le poste de vice-président des ventes et du développement commercial pour une organisation nationale de services de soins à domicile. Au cours de son mandat, il était responsable de toutes les activités de vente, de passation de contrats et d'alliances stratégiques/fusions et acquisitions, ce qui a entraîné une augmentation des revenus annuels de 35 millions de dollars à 95 millions de dollars.
Avant cela, Scott était cadre supérieur dans une société nationale de conseil en soins de santé dont l'accent était mis sur la stratégie, la planification commerciale, les acquisitions/fusions et les coentreprises. En outre, il a passé la première partie de sa carrière en tant que cadre d’une organisation nationale de gestion des soins et était principalement responsable des activités de développement des réseaux de médecins et d’hôpitaux dans les zones géographiques qu’il avait sélectionnées.
Il est un conférencier et auteur fréquent sur des sujets liés à l'évaluation des soins de santé.
