NextGen in Finance

Stout’s NextGen in Finance programs are designed to provide first-generation students with an inside look at finance-related career paths across the firm. Through virtual, interactive workshops, participants gain insight into Stout’s career opportunities and connect with Stout colleagues from across the firm.

Future Leaders in Finance Program

Our Future Leaders in Finance (FLF) Program is for underclassmen (sophomores and juniors) who are interested in learning more about Stout and our services. Participants will also gain hands-on experience and demonstrate their skills with a case study competition.

Future Leaders in Finance – Investment Banking

Selected candidates will spend time with our Investment Banking professionals to gain exposure to the investment banking industry by participating in junior and senior banker panels and in a case study competition alongside a member of our banking team. Case studies will be presented to banking leadership at the end of the session.

Scholarships

The Stout NextGen Scholarship program supports first-generation students who reflect our values and are committed to pursuing careers in business. At Stout, we believe talent comes from every background, and we are dedicated to creating pathways where students feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed. By investing in future leaders, we aim to help students advance their education and confidently pursue their professional goals.

Mentorship Program

Our mentorship program is an initiative designed to enhance the professional and personal development of select college students by connecting them with Stout colleagues throughout their academic journey. Participation in the program is determined through a selection process to ensure the best fit for both mentors and mentees.

Yes, all internships at Stout are paid. In addition to competitive compensation, interns gain valuable professional experience and often receive return offers for full-time roles.
Stout offers early career roles across our financial advisory, valuation, consulting, and corporate functions. Most roles are suited for recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in finance, business strategy, or client services.
Absolutely. Every new early career hire participates in a comprehensive onboarding program, followed by structured technical training and ongoing mentorship to help you grow in your role.
We typically seek candidates pursuing degrees in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration. However, we also value diverse backgrounds that demonstrate analytical thinking, communication skills, and curiosity.
