Performed financial reporting for a real estate company

Nicole and team performed the financial reporting for a real estate company preparing for an IPO. After viewing the company’s financial records, we identified several concerns surrounding its accounting and financial reporting that could possibly prevent it from a successful audit. As we discussed how to remedy these potential issues, our role expanded to include accounting advisory services. We created the company’s consolidation while accounting for its foreign currency conversion and eliminating and consolidating entries, prepared its financial statements for several periods, and maintained its interim and annual consolidation over a two-year period. In the process, we became a trusted advisor and consulted on a variety of other issues, including ERP software implementation, standardization of the quarterly financial close, and communication with international staff.
