The parties to the litigation were direct competitors in the online mortgage origination and lending industry. The plaintiff accused the defendant of misappropriating the plaintiff’s financial operating model, its operating data, and certain contracts with third-party marketing agents. Stout prepared a Rule-26 expert report that summarized our opinion of damages which were based on the defendant's avoided development cost.
