Stout was retained as an expert on damages in a forensic investigation. The matter focused on asset tracing and accounting analyses relating to a Ponzi scheme involving a food brokerage business.  Stout was retained to determine the amount and timing related to investments and the return on those investments by a victim of a Ponzi scheme perpetrated by Nevin Shapiro. Stout’s analysis was used to rebut clawback claims by the trustee overseeing Shapiro’s estate.
