Stout assisted a diversified global enterprise in developing an agentic AI-enabled platform to support complex financial planning, performance analysis, and executive decision making. The solution introduced a conversational interface through which authorized users could evaluate the potential effects of changes in market conditions, organizational structures, cost assumptions, capital requirements, resource allocations, and other business performance drivers. The platform converted natural-language requests into structured analytical workflows and presented the resulting financial and operational impacts through an executive dashboard. The outputs included projected cash flow, income statement and balance sheet effects, cost and profitability measures, resource utilization, and other enterprise-level performance indicators.
We integrated leading large language models, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, and Google’s Gemini, among others, with Microsoft Azure AI services and LangChain-based agentic orchestration frameworks to coordinate multi-step analytical workflows across the organization’s governed data and reporting environment. The AI layer was designed to interpret business terminology, data definitions, transformation rules, analytical methodologies, and reporting logic across multiple enterprise data sources.
The solution generated clear, context-specific explanations of how analytical findings were produced, why key performance indicators changed, which assumptions had the greatest influence on the results, and what trade-offs executives should consider. It also enabled users to refine their questions conversationally, compare alternative courses of action, and explore follow-up analyses without relying on technical support.
The resulting platform provided a more intuitive and transparent approach to enterprise planning by combining natural-language interaction, advanced analytics, executive reporting, and explainable AI within a controlled decision-support environment.
