A top-15 U.S. bank with a technology focus requested an assessment surrounding its internally developed software capitalization process. Scott’s team worked to understand the processes of multiple divisions, the ways each division were tracking development and implementation efforts, and the paths in which accounting received the necessary data to capitalize expenses completely and accurately. The project concluded with an array of optimization opportunities provided to management, namely, the internal control enhancements, system refinement, and financial data flow recommendations.
