On April 2, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin released the DoDs Commercial Space Integration Strategy (DoD CSIS), outlining the Pentagon’s vision for integrating commercial solutions into the U.S. national security space architecture. On April 10, the U.S. Space Force (USSF) released a complementary document, the Space Force Commercial Space Strategy (USSF CSS), which directly builds upon the DoD CSIS. It details actions the USSF will take in support of the DoD’s strategic aims and broader embrace of commercial space.
