Stephen Scharafin is in the Consumer group within the Investment Banking practice at Stout. He is involved in a full range of investment banking activities, with a primary focus on advising private equity firms, family-owned businesses, and corporate clients on mergers & acquisitions, private placements, divestitures, and recapitalizations across the consumer sector.
Stephen’s industry experience is focused on branded and private label consumer packaged goods companies. He has significant experience across fresh and consumer packaged goods, ingredients, processing and co-manufacturing, importing and distribution, and the broader food and beverage supply chain.
Prior to joining Stout, Stephen was a Director on the Consumer team at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL), where he focused on the Food & Beverage sector. Before that, he spent time at Cascadia Capital and First Beverage Group in Los Angeles, advising clients exclusively within the food and beverage industry. Stephen began his career in the Transaction Services group at PwC.
