An affiliate of a large private equity and venture capital investment firm (“Parent”) serves as the managing member of an LLC which invests in a variety of real property investments. The manager of the LLC identified an opportunity to sell certain real property investments to: a) a newly formed investment entity or entities owned by affiliates of Parent and a second unrelated private equity firm, and b) two other real property investment vehicles.

Stout was engaged to provide a fairness opinion to the managing member of the LLC in connection with the proposed transaction. Stout’s team performed independent financial analyses regarding certain of the LLC’s underlying real property investments and the proposed transaction terms and presented its findings to the managing member.
