A well-known, international patent licensing entity that is engaged in standard essential patent (SEP) licensing hired Stout to provide a detailed report on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) licensing terms, the size of the Wi-Fi 802.11ax (also known as “Wi-Fi 6”) landscape, and portfolio sizes of specific licensors. Stout developed a report to support our client’s negotiations with potential licensors as part of the pool formation as well as in discussions with future licensees to provide well-supported and FRAND counteroffers.
