Stout served as Chief Financial Officer to a 2-GW coal-burning power plant owned by several hedge funds and private equity firms that shut down and was in the process of pursuing redevelopment options that included various clean energy generation solutions.
Stout began by serving as the client’s financial advisor and transitioned to serving as its Chief Financial Officer and key liaison to the management team and board of directors. The scope of work included deploying additional resources to manage financial operations, reporting, treasury, and accounting responsibilities to support the plant’s ongoing decommissioning and redevelopment process.
