Stout advised Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt (HCVT), now rebranded as Holthouse, on the establishment of an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). Stout served as the exclusive financial advisor to Holthouse and led the ESOP structuring, financing process, and execution on behalf of the firm. In support of the transaction, Stout arranged a new senior secured credit facility. The transaction closed in October 2026.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Holthouse is a leading accounting and advisory firm, providing tax, audit, advisory, and business management services. The firm operates 15 offices across the United States, with 800+ employees. Holthouse primarily serves pass-through entities and high-net-worth individuals, with specialized expertise in private equity, media and entertainment, and real estate.

The transaction creates meaningful ownership opportunities for Holthouse’s employees, strengthens retention incentives, and supports the firm’s continued growth.
