Steve Holzen offre i suoi servizi di perito e consulente su una vasta gamma di problematiche economiche e finanziarie. Fornisce analisi per responsabilità e danni in controversie commerciali complesse nell'ambito di brevetti, marchi, copyright, segreti commerciali e contenziosi per violazioni di contratto e in indagini commerciali internazionali. Offre spesso consulenza anche in merito a progetti diversi dal contenzioso e che riguardano conformità sanitaria, operazioni e decisioni aziendali strategiche. Le società e gli avvocati si avvalgono della sua conoscenza profonda e completa su questioni riguardanti la proprietà intellettuale, tra cui valutazioni strategiche, analisi dei rischi, danni economici, due diligence, valutazioni precoci e pre-casi, valutazioni del valore di mercato per scopi di conformità sanitaria e altre tematiche complesse.

Ha lavorato come perito e consulente esperto nei tribunali federali e statali, la U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), la Federal Court of Claims (CFC), la Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) e lo U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Ha fornito pareri in varie sedi su problematiche diverse, ad esempio perdita di profitti, royalty ragionevoli, arricchimento senza causa, pubblicità correttiva, settore nazionale, fattori di interesse pubblico, ingiunzione permanente, esclusione di rimedi e successo commerciale.

Steve ha inoltre tenuto conferenze su danni alla proprietà intellettuale e problemi di valutazione in diverse occasioni e ha pubblicato vari articoli su danni alla proprietà intellettuale, licenze e problemi di valutazione. È co-autore di un libro intitolato "Winning the Patent Damages Case", che viene utilizzato come guida per i legali e i consulenti interni in materia di brevetti coinvolti in questioni di violazioni di brevetti. Prima della sua carriera di consulente, Steve ha lavorato come esaminatore di brevetti presso lo U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In qualità di esaminatore di brevetti, ha valutato la novità e l'originalità della tecnologia per i settori: aeronautica, astronautica, pistole e armi meccaniche, zootecnia, armi da fuoco, munizioni e cariche esplosive, armamenti ed esplosivi. È un agente di brevetti registrato e membro attivo dell'American Intellectual Property Law Association. Steve è stato riconosciuto a livello nazionale come uno dei massimi testimoni esperti in ambito economico in IAM Patent 1000 dal 2019 al 2022.
