Edward Gold fornisce analisi di responsabilità e danni in controversie commerciali complesse, tra cui proprietà intellettuale, antitrust, violazione di contratto e questioni relative al lavoro. Offre spesso consulenza anche per progetti non contenziosi che prevedono conformità, transazioni e decisioni aziendali strategiche.

Ed ha oltre 25 anni di esperienza nella consulenza economica ed è stato designato come esperto in tribunali federali e statali, di fronte alla Commissione per il commercio internazionale degli Stati Unit e in procedimenti arbitrali. Ha testimoniato o fornito pareri in varie sedi problematiche diverse, ad esempio perdita di profitti, monopolizzazione, royalty ragionevoli, settore nazionale, fattori di interesse pubblico ed esclusione di rimedi.

Ed fornisce consulenza ai clienti anche in molte questioni non contenziose. È stato nominato tre volte come supervisore della Federal Trade Commission in merito ai rimedi di fusione e ha monitorato gli obblighi di cessione per la Commissione Europea e l'Ufficio federale dei cartelli tedesco. Ha condotto i test o le indagini di conformità di numerose operazioni commerciali relative a problematiche diverse, ad esempio norme anti-kickback, transazioni con parti correlate, licenze ragionevoli e non discriminatorie (RAND, Reasonable and non-discriminatory) e disposizioni contrattuali. Ed ha inoltre una vasta esperienza nella valutazione di beni di proprietà intellettuale, consulenza su strategie di transazione e partecipazione diretta a negoziazioni nel contesto di licenze, vendite e joint venture.

Prima di entrare in Stout, Ed è stato amministratore delegato di Invotex. In precedenza, è stato responsabile in PricewaterhouseCoopers. Nel periodo 2014-2017, è stato identificato come uno dei massimi esperti economici in IAM Patent 1000.
