Quantified counterclaim in steel bridge construction project

We were engaged by a prime contractor to quantify its counterclaim to claims made by one of its subcontractors on a municipality improvement project that included fabrication, supply, and installation of steel bridging and related components.

The work included performing procedures to test the documentation in support of the costs incurred by the prime contractor related to the claim, independently analyzing and calculating the claim components, and preparing an expert report of opinions and findings. We quantified claim elements that included field (project) overhead costs incurred due to the delay and incremental costs for specific items, including repairs to and replacement of steel bridging and related components supplied by the subcontractor as well as markups for overhead and profit and assessment of liquidated damages by the owner due to project delay in accordance with the prime contract.
