Gabe Baumgartner

Gabe Baumgartner has over six years of experience supporting offices of the CFO for both private and public entities. He is a financial reporting, FP&A, and technical accounting advisor, providing advisory services around M&A transactions, IPO readiness, and finance department transformation. He has extensive experience across a broad range of industries, including infrastructure, construction, financial services, fintech, technology, telecom, manufacturing, consumer goods and services, and retail.

Gabe has partnered with multiple private equity firms to provide post-deal finance integration services for bolt-on acquisitions made by portfolio companies. He has acted as an integration and technical accounting manager, implementing and strengthening accounting policies, integrating month-end close and reporting procedures, and standing up FP&A functions. He has partnered with sales and operations teams to set up dynamic budgeting and forecasting processes to drive financial accountability throughout organizations. He has also created and implemented customer and product profitability tools to help drive sales strategy for his clients. Other areas of focus included KPI measurement, working capital optimization, month-end close acceleration, margin and flux analysis, and controllership support.

Gabe has also provided public company readiness services for companies preparing for an IPO or SPAC transaction. He has led financial reporting teams in S-1/S-4 preparation, supported clients through PCAOB audits, and advised on the operational readiness of the finance department. He has also worked with SPAC sponsors, providing diligence over potential acquisitions to assess their public company readiness. During these assessments, he advised on SEC reporting requirements, PCAOB audit readiness, and public company GAAP compliance.

Prior to joining Stout, Gabe worked in the private equity services group at Alvarez and Marsal, providing CFO services to the portfolio companies of private equity clients. Gabe has also worked at multiple Big Four accounting firms providing deal advisory and/or audit services for both public and private clients in a variety of industries.
