Suchit Kumar is a Director in the Valuation Advisory group. He has more than 13 years of experience providing valuation analyses to clients globally for financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and tax restructuring purposes under U.S. GAAP and IFRS. His experience includes corporate finance advisory, business and equity valuations, valuation of intangible assets, portfolio valuations, and business plan reviews.

Suchit specializes in expanding Stout’s capabilities in the financial services industry. The investments covered include private debt (such as senior, mezzanine, junior, and whole loans), equity, equity-like assets (such as warrants and options), vanilla and complex derivatives, convertible debt, and structured products (such as CMBS, RMBS, CDOs, and CLOs). Clients include large hedge funds, private equity funds, asset managers, banks, insurance companies, real estate investment companies, specialty finance companies, corporations, and government agencies. Suchit also specializes in technology companies and valuation of the multitranched complex capital structures via an OPM model, Monte Carlo simulation, and binomial models. He also has interest in blockchain-related technologies and their applications.

Prior to joining Stout, Suchit was a Senior Vice President at Houlihan Lokey where he led the real estate valuation initiative in the Portfolio Valuation group and performed valuations of complex derivatives. He also led the firmwide training of the OPM model, typically involved in technology company valuations. Prior to that, Suchit worked at Merrill Lynch in the Global Treasury group.
