Rupa Rao Sperber

Rupa Rao Sperber is a Senior Manager in the Legal Management Consulting practice. She has over 15 years of hands-on experience in legal strategic planning and solutions implementation. She has worked across various industries as a Subject Matter Expert to provide guidance on Information Governance, Electronic Discovery, Data Privacy, Legal Operations, and related technologies.

Rupa works closely with stakeholders, business partners, management, technical staff, end-users, and third-party providers to proactively establish policies, automate processes, and implement procedures and technologies that govern the management of information while minimizing risk and maximizing value.

Rupa has led successful engagements for leading global clients. She has consulted on defensible and cost-effective approaches to Information Governance and E-Discovery issues, including preservation, collection, data culling and review, and adherence to privacy and compliance regulations. She also recently oversaw the effort to select a comprehensive technology solution for the Information Governance and Privacy program at a Fortune 200 company.

Rupa has experience in spearheading the implementation of a Legal Enterprise Matter Management and E-Billing solution, resulting in optimized and enhanced capabilities. She also functioned as a primary Litigation Technology Expert for an AmLaw 50 law firm, overseeing the assessment, testing, and implementation of the firm’s first case management and docketing system in their NY and DC offices, providing a centralized online platform to manage all firm matters and related information.

Prior to joining Stout, Rupa was a Senior Consultant for Lighthouse Global. She previously served as the Discovery and Information Manager at J.C.Penney and held similar roles at law firms such as Willkie Farr & Gallagher, Sullivan & Cromwell, and Haynes Boone.

Rupa holds certifications as an Information Governance Professional (IGP) and E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS).
