Peter Ahlås

Peter Ahlås is a Senior Advisor in the Investment Banking group and is based in Stout’s London office. He has extensive experience in the maritime insurance and shipping services industry providing M&A advisory, strategic planning, risk management, and leadership development services.

He served as Director and Chairman of HSBC Insurance Brokers, Cyprus, and of HSBC Shipping Services. He is currently a board member of Tide Forsikring, a Director of Maritime London, Trustee of Maritime London Officer Cadet Scholarship Trust, Deputy Chairman of C Solutions and A Director of CSL, a Director of Lakehouse Risk Services, and a Lloyd’s Managing General Agent. Peter is also a board member of Swedish Company JFD Sweden AB.

He is a Freeman of the City of London and Liveryman in The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights. Peter served in the Royal Swedish Navy and retains a close involvement and interest in naval issues. Peter is also a Fellow of The Royal Swedish Academy of Naval Sciences.
