Marcus Ewald has experience that includes the provision of services to a diverse client base comprised of privately-held entities representing multi-billion-dollar enterprises, middle market corporations, private equity and hedge funds, law firms, accounting firms, and financial institutions.

He has over 20 years of experience in providing valuation and litigation advisory services for numerous purposes including fairness opinions, solvency opinions, estate and gift taxation, succession planning, quantification of intangible asset value, marital dissolution, shareholder disputes, buy-sell agreements, Subchapter C to Subchapter S conversions, and other tax, corporate, and litigation related matters.

Marcus serves as co-leader of Stout’s Consumer Staples practice and has significant experience in valuing producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers of food, beverage, and tobacco, household and personal, and other consumer staples products. In addition, Marcus has served numerous industries with extensive experience, in particular, on asset management, private equity and hedge funds, carried interests, manufacturing, real estate brokerage and development, restaurants, retailing, steel and metals distribution, and wholesale distribution.

Marcus has presented to the Chicago Bar Association, the Chicago Estate Planning Council, the Michigan Association of CPAs, and other corporations and law firms. He has also authored articles on various topics within the food and beverage and private equity and hedge fund industries. Additionally, he was a contributing editor to Business Valuation: A Primer for the Legal Professional, published by the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.
