Kevin Murphy has over 25 years experience leading due diligence engagements for both private equity and strategic clients. Kevin serves clients in a wide range of sectors within a wide variety of industries. He has extensive experience in manufacturing, distribution, and business services. He advises clients on structuring purchase price implications, analyzing quality of earnings, determining working capital targets, and evaluating purchase agreements.

Kevin also has a broad range of sell-side experience, including sell-side engagements for stand-alone private equity portfolio companies and complex corporate carve-outs. He has advised sellers and buyers on transaction-related matters such as stand-alone costs, allocation, separation implication, and financial reporting implications.

Prior to joining Stout, Kevin was a Managing Director at both Deloitte and Ernst & Young in the M&A Transaction Services practice. Kevin also has experience in industry serving as a Chief Financial Officer. Overall, Kevin has almost 40 years of finance and accounting experience in M&A, public accounting, and industry roles.
