Jon Thomas is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group. Jon has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, capital structure advisory, debt and equity capital raise, and restructuring. His industry area of focus is Technology, Media, and Telecom, including enterprise software, industrial Internet of Things (IoT), health tech, and AI applications.

Prior to joining Stout, Jon was the founder and Managing Partner of Quicksilver Capital, LLC, where he provided M&A and capital raise advice to growth technology companies through the IOI Capital Markets broker/dealer digital platform.

Jon also served as Senior Advisor and FINRA-registered representative at IOI Capital Markets and as Senior Advisor at Woodside Capital, a Silicon Valley investment bank focused on emerging technology companies. Additionally, Jon held the position of Operating Partner at Brown Venture Associates, a consulting and advisory practice for growth companies.

Previously, Jon was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Ziegler Lotsoff Capital, a boutique asset management firm in Chicago acquired by Stifel, where he managed a credit opportunities hedge fund. Prior, he co-founded Simran Capital, a high-yield and distressed hedge fund, where he served as Senior Portfolio Manager. In addition to spending time with sell-side broker firms Advest and RW Pressprich, Jon began his career with JP Morgan Chase, where he focused on M&A, high-yield new issues, and loan syndication, holding positions in New York, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

Jon currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art.
