Jon Howells is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking group and Head of Stout’s London office. Jon has 25 years of investment banking experience advising private and publicly traded corporations, governments, banks, and private equity funds on domestic and international transactions, including advising clients on trans-Atlantic deals. During his investment banking career, he has worked on a wide range of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestments, restructuring, IPO advisory, and debt and equity capital raising.

Jon has deep experience in shipping and maritime services, transportation and logistics, business and industrial services, and offshore services sectors. Transactions on which he has advised include Aurelius’ acquisition of U.S. marine salvor Ardent; Braemar on sale of Braemar Response; Isle of Man Government’s acquisition of the Steam Packet; Berenberg’s acquisition of $600 million loan portfolio; Bridgehouse’s sale of Global Marine Group; Apax’s acquisition of Marken; Deutsche Post’s acquisition of DHL, Exponent’s acquisition of V.Group; Cognetas’ sale of ISS; Investcorp’s acquisition of Moody International; and British Government on Royal Mail.

Jon was the founding partner of Park Partners, a boutique advisory firm, having previously spent 15 years at Lazard where he was Head of the European Transportation and Business Services team.
