James Hendershot

James Hendershot is a Director in the Due Diligence practice of the Transaction Advisory group. He has over 15 years of professional experience performing financial analysis for both public- and private-sector companies, with over eight years focused on leading due diligence engagements for both private equity and strategic clients. He has extensive expertise across a broad range of industries, including healthcare; technology, media, & telecommunications; business & industrial services; industrials; and consumer.

James advises both strategic and private equity clients through transformative mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, with a focus on evaluating normalized earnings, identifying net-working-capital requirements, analyzing carve-out financial statements and standalone operations, and assisting in post-closing support.

Prior to joining Stout, James started his career at PwC in its Assurance practice before transitioning over to its Deals practice. He left PwC to pursue opportunities in corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) at an international generic pharmaceutical manufacturer and then at Verizon while attending graduate school. He returned to Transaction Advisory Services at the Director level with PwC and then at RSM.
