David M. Evatz is Head of Plastics & Packaging in the Investment Banking Group. He has extensive mergers and acquisitions experience having executed numerous M&A and corporate finance transactions, including buy and sell side assignments, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, fairness opinions, and the private placement of senior debt, mezzanine debt, and equity securities.

Within the plastics industry, David has completed engagements with companies serving the medical, packaging, industrial, and automotive markets and for companies with various manufacturing and plastic processing capabilities. Recent sell-side transactions include Western Industries, Production Services Associates, Dynamatic, Versus Technology, NPI Medical, Breen Color Concentrates, Thermotech, CPI Binani, and Atlas Wire Corporation.

Prior to joining Stout, David was a Vice President in the mergers and acquisitions group at Salomon Smith Barney. In this role, he participated in a wide variety of merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions across numerous industries, including chemicals, automotive, packaging, general industrials, consumer, retail, and healthcare. Representative transactions include General Motors’ acquisition of Daewoo Motor, and numerous other transactions involving both public and private companies, including Schlumberger, Discount Auto Parts, B.F. Goodrich, Vicorp Restaurants, SmithKline Beecham, MiniMed, Express Scripts, and First Health. Preceding his experience at Salomon Smith Barney, David spent time at Lehman Brothers and CIBC Wood Gundy.
