Stout Expands Disputes, Compliance, & Investigations Group

July 20, 2020

Stout is pleased to announce it has deepened its expertise in its Disputes, Compliance, & Investigations group.

Dana Trexler and Jeff Buchakjian joined as Managing Directors in Stout’s Philadelphia office. Dana brings over 25 years of experience calculating damages in intellectual property (patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret) and complex commercial disputes (breach of contract, employment, Lanham Act, post-acquisition, working capital, earn-out, and unfair competition), as well as conducting contract compliance examinations (royalty audits). As a seasoned testifier, Dana assists attorneys and clients to evaluate and prepare economic damages in the form of lost profits, reasonable royalties, unjust enrichment, disgorged profits, and contract damages, among others. She has worked in federal, state, and local courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution settings.

Jeff specializes in providing forensic accounting services in matters involving commercial disputes and white-collar investigations. Jeff provides consulting services and expert witness testimony to attorneys, public and private companies, and government agencies. He has worked on matters involving economic damages, asset tracing and recovery, employee theft, financial statement fraud, investment frauds, and other complex forensic accounting-related issues.

“I am thrilled to be joining Stout,” said Dana. “The combination of the firm’s deep bench of intellectual property and commercial litigation experts, along with its collaborative culture, attracted me to the firm. I look forward to working together to grow our practice and the firm as a whole.”

“Stout’s Disputes, Compliance, & Investigations team is uniquely positioned to provide cross-functional litigation and forensic investigation services to assist a broad range of clients and industries,” said Jeff. “We are very excited to expand Stout’s DC&I practice in Philadelphia and contribute to the firm’s consistent growth in the market.”

Nate Kramer and Jeff Press also joined Stout as Directors in the New York and Philadelphia offices, respectively. Nate and Jeff specialize in providing forensic accounting, expert testimony, and litigation consulting services to clients. Nate also performs contract compliance examinations on behalf of his clients, and Jeff excels in conducting analyses of “secondary considerations” in intellectual property disputes. Nichole Griffin has joined the firm as a Senior Manager in the Atlanta office, specializing in fraud and forensic investigations and disputes. Michael Mitrione has joined as a Manager in the Philadelphia office. Gabrielle Goitiandia has joined as an Analyst in the Philadelphia office.
