Mark Buchanan Joins Stout’s Investment Banking Group

Stout is pleased to announce that Mark Buchanan has joined the firm as Managing Director in the Investment Banking group. Mark brings extensive experience in M&A advisory, capital raising, ownership transition, recapitalizations, and ESOP transactions across multiple industries, with an emphasis on the Professional Services and Industrial end markets.

Prior to joining Stout, Mark served as Managing Director and Head of the Family, Founder, and ESOP practice in North America at Macquarie Capital. Previously, Mark was Managing Director at BMO Financial Group, where he presided over two business units, including the national Corporate Advisory platform and the Business Development function across BMO Harris’ national footprint. Mark also served as Director of M&A at Career Education and began his career in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse.

Mark earned his M.B.A. from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, with Honors, and a B.S. in Finance from Oakland University. He is now based in the Dallas after residing more than 15 years in Chicago.
