Special Assignment - Interim Corporate Officer

Served as the Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) for an oil and gas exploration company and 11 affiliated entities.  In this role, Stout negotiated a restructuring plan that resolved claims asserted by the Securities and Exchange Commission, line holders, unsecured creditors, royalty holders and equity investors.  Prior to our appointment as CRO, the SEC was threatening to appoint a receiver to oversee the company.  After careful analysis of the SEC’s positions and the related litigation, it was determined that a chapter 11 filing was in the best interests of all parties.
