Jim and his team served as exclusive financial advisor to Layne Christensen (“Layne”) on the sale of the firm's Heavy Civil business to a newly formed entity owned by private investors, including members of the current Heavy Civil senior management team.

Layne is a global solutions provider to the world of essential natural resources – water, mineral, and energy. Layne’s Heavy Civil business, based in Orleans, IN, has provided design-build, construction, and maintenance of critical water/wastewater infrastructure across the U.S. for over 70 years. Reynolds, the subsidiary, employs nearly 400 people, and over the last five decades, the former and current operating groups have constructed more than 230 treatment plants and installed more than 18 million feet of pipeline. In the last 15 years, the operations teams have contracted over $800 million in alternative delivery contracts including design-build, design-build-operate, and construction management at risk.
