Justin Burchett, Managing Director, participated in the webinar, “Valuing Financial Instruments," focused on the identification and measurement of financial instruments globally. In addition to Justin Burchett, the global panel featured renowned international experts including: Kumar Dasgupta, Technical Director of Financial Instruments, the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) London; and Nicolas Burdeau, Partner, Deloitte, Paris; Srividya Gopalakrishnan, Managing Director and Southeast Asia Leader, Duff & Phelps, Singapore; and was moderated by Michael Badham, iiBV Executive Director. The webinar was conducted in collaboration with iiBV, IVSC, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). The webinar covers the following topics:

  • What are the goals and plans of the IVSC Financial Instruments Board with respect to valuation standards for financial instruments?
  • What is the current state of regulation and guidance involved with valuing financial instruments worldwide?
  • Current issues, topics, and techniques used in valuing financial instruments
