We encourage employees to become involved in, promote, and support causes that invest in the future of the communities where we work and live. In particular, we focus on programs related to youth, the environment, the military, and our employees' personal health.

We support employee involvement through the following programs.

Volunteer Hours Program

Stout gives employees eight hours of paid time off per year to participate in community service projects with a qualified charity of their choice.

Matching Gift Program

Stout matches donations up to $100 a year made by employees to charitable organizations.

Community Sponsorship

We aim to support at least three events per year at every one of our offices, working with local charities and organizations.

Nonprofit Board Participation

Stout offers financial support to help employees provide pro bono services through strategic board positions. Stout will provide up to $2,500 per employee in support of their involvement with a nonprofit organization.

Workout for Charity

Employees that participate in the firm's IncentFit program can choose to donate their fitness reward dollars to one of the following charities: No Kid Hungry, National Forest Foundation, Wounded Warrior, or American Cancer Society. Stout will match up to $1,500 per quarter in total donations to these charities.

Volunteer Grant Program

Stout provides a monetary donation to eligible nonprofits as a way to recognize employees who volunteer at those organizations. Our goal is to promote volunteerism among employees and fund nonprofit organizations that provide valuable services in communities where our employees live and work. Stout provides up to $25,000 annually in volunteer grants.

Annual Outreach Trip to Haiti

Annual Outreach Trip to Haiti Each summer, a group of Stout employees visit Haiti to offer their support for a local community and an orphanage. During these philanthropic trips, our colleagues volunteer their time to work on multiple projects, including:

  • the construction and maintenance of a water-purification facility
  • the purchase and installation of batteries to generate power for the orphanage
  • the establishment of sustainable community gardens
  • the completion of a community building used as both a storm shelter and a school for children

In addition, Stout employees firmwide have provided funding to sponsor each child in the village to attend school for a year. Employees also provide essential supplies for the orphanage and the community. It is a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
