Matthew and his team provided IPO Readiness and Finance Transformation services for a rapidly growing food delivery and consumer goods company.
Client challenge: Due to significant growth organically and inorganically, the Company did not have sufficient resources within their finance and accounting departments. Further, the Company had not established their back-office finance and accounting processes and systems to meet their current or future needs. This resulted in multiple material weaknesses and significant deficiency opinions from their auditors. This also resulted in the Company struggling internally with financial data quality and the ability to properly budget and forecast to key investors and leadership.
Solution: We invested time assessing the Company by integrating with their employees and culture to identify how to best partner with them during this critical growth stage. Through this process, our role grew well beyond a standard consulting arrangement as the company prepared for their IPO and transformed their finance and accounting departments.
Outcome: The Company is currently prepared for an IPO ahead of schedule. The newly implemented processes and systems are providing much more insight internally, are increasing the efficiency of their daily finance and accounting responsibilities, and have already begun reducing the number of comments from their auditors.
